Family Tree of Fried, Herman Ármin Cvi

Herman Fried carved beautiful handmade sewing boxes to commemorate events of women in the family.  My Mother, Magda Haberfeld Schwarz rescued 3 of them, two of them made for her Mother Etelka Herzog and one for her Grandmother Kati Fried.  She had them restored by an artisan in Princeton. I gave them to Julie, Val and Sophie. They are pieces of Judaica.

Herman Fried and Rósa Grün had 10 children.  Berthold Fried became the husband of Anna Bondi. Katalin "Kati" became the great grandmother of Mimi Schwarz Reed and John H. Schwarz.

Listed are the first names and year of birth for each of the Fried children:

Henrik 1851, Jozsef 1853, Katalin 1857, Max 1860, Gyula 1856, Jenny 1866, Charlotte 1867, Berthold 1870, Lajos 1872, Hermann 1879.

Herman Fried and Róza Rebecka Grün are the great grandparents of Mimi Schwarz Reed and John H. Schwarz and the grandparents of  Marilyn Gross Rinzler and Elisabeth Gross Morse, who were born in New York City in 1941.

Yeshaya Leib Singer was Herman's brother in-law. Herman Fried and Max Schlesinger were also brothers-in-law. This means that Herman Fried and Mac Schlesinger were brothers-in-law.  Explanation received from Rosie Just.

Data are recorded in the Hungary Jewish Vital
Records and in LDS 642983, Vol 52.
