ראובן פאהן

Reuben Fahn (1878-1939) Hebrew writer.

He was a prosperous merchant in Halicz who became interested in the town’s Karaite community. In 1918 he settled in Stanislav and was secretary of the National Council of Galician Jewry in the West Ukrainian Republic (1918-19). When World War II broke out, he was tried by the Soviets for Zionist activity and sent to Russia, after which no word was heard of him. Throughout his life Fahn contributed to Hebrew periodicals, many of his articles and stories being around Karaite themes.
