It is very likely that he is the son of Gustav and Therese Freund. As noted on the profile posted at MyHeritage by Peter Lax, the informant on Gustav's 1914 death registration in Breslau was an Alfred Freund residing at the same address as Gustav. Also, Gustav Freund had lived in the Rybnik region, where Alfred was born. By 1884 Gustav Freund and his wife were living in Breslau, where his first daughter was born; the birth registration for Alfred hasn't been found. Peter Lax has also found a 1930 Breslau Census indicating that Arthur was residing with Therese Freund.
