Morris and his brother Abe were taken by their grandparents to Jerusalem as small children. At the start of WW1 they moved to Alexandria, Egypt Morris moved to the U.S. in 1920 with his aunt Shayna-Malka. Morris and Abe owned a raincoat factory in Manhattan. There, Morris met Lily, a young immigrant from Rumania who worked in the factory. Morris, Lily and Abe lived together in Boro Park, Brooklyn. Morris' son-in-law, Leon, worked as a salesman in the raincoat factory. Morris died of a heart attack one morning while opening the factory. After his death Lily moved to Marine Park, Brooklyn.
